Описание: Senior Congress leaders, including the opposition leaders in the Karnataka Assembly Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar, were summoned by the city magistrate to appear before the court on Tuesday in a case regarding the violation of pandemic-related curbs during a rally earlier this year.

Ramanagara Rural police filed a case against more than 25 state Congress leaders on March 17 this year after they undertook a 'padayatra' which demanded the construction of a dam across the Cauvery river at Mekedatu.

The leaders were charged under sections of the Epidemic Diseases Act for taking out the 'padayatra' which violated the restrictions during the Covid-19 pandemic. Watch the entire video to know more.
