India Bond Inclusion In JPM EM Index: How Much Inflows, How Much Impact? | CNBC TV18

Описание: India's inclusion in the JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Bond index saw yields fall on Friday and then bonds also gave up some gains. Over the weekend, experts have done their math on how much active and passive money will flow into India and what maybe the impact on the economy. Catch Latha Venkatesh in conversation with Santanu Sengupta, Chief India Economist at Goldman Sachs and Rajeev Radhakrishnan, CFA, Head- Fixed Income at SBI Mutual Fund on their expectations on the flows, Indian bonds' likely inclusion in the Bloomberg Barclays index, outlook on 10-year yield and impact of the bond inclusion on deficits and growth for CY24 and FY25. Santanu Sengupta believes that the India bond inclusion to JPMorgan EM debt index could lead to passive flows of $30 billion and a total inflow of $40 billion. Rajeev Radhakrishnan expects that in the near-term yield range between 7.05%-7.2% but he doesn't see 10-year yields below 7% this fiscal. Listen in.
