Meghan Mooradian, MD, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, shares results from a study (NCT06146920) exploring the potential role of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) monitoring for high-risk melanoma in 57 evaluable patients. Patients that were ctDNA positive at baseline and experienced major pathologic response demonstrated either clearance or a significant decline in ctDNA levels. The study highlights the prognostic value of personalized ctDNA monitoring for patients with advanced melanoma in a perioperative cohort and the utility of post-operative surveillance in the adjuvant cohort. This interview took place at the 21st International Congress of the Society for Melanoma Research (SMR) in New Orleans, LA.
