In these lean times for locomotive filmers, I have decided to upload previously unseen footage of various sites, as a reminder of better times to come.
I've kicked off with the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway's Winter Diesel Gala of December 2018 for which we were blessed with a lovely sunny day.
Of interest to viewers will be the sole working class 126 DMU built by BR (Swindon) for services on the Ayrshire coast. The restoration team have done a great job on her. Also newly refurbished and a full repaint is class 47, no 47643 ex D1970 looking immaculate in Scotrail livery. She came in handy for providing electrical train heating on a fine but cold day.
Visiting guest locos were Colas Railfreight class 56, no 56302 "Peco" and DRS class 66, no 66428, both handily based at Grangemouth.
All these were joined by class 27, no 27001 and class 37, no 37067 from the home fleet.
I was indebted to my good pal, John Anderson for several clips with full credits given.
