In the south-western coastal region of Bangladesh, in Morrelganj of Bagerhat district, the voluntary social organization Shohojatri is working to support vulnerable communities affected by poverty, climate challenges, and limited income opportunities.
With the support of donor members and contributions through zakat, charity, and sadaqah, Shohojatri organized a food assistance program for underprivileged families.
Through the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of donors, food packages were distributed to vulnerable families including widowed women, orphaned households, elderly individuals, and disadvantaged community members.
The food distribution program was held on March 7, 2026, at Tetulbaria High School Auditorium in Morrelganj.
This initiative aims not only to provide food assistance but also to promote compassion, social responsibility, and fair distribution of resources.
Shohojatri believes that when people stand beside one another, a hunger-free, poverty-free, and compassionate society becomes possible.
