This session is part of the New Year Special SDG Talk Series 2026, focusing on SDG localisation and its role in advancing sustainable development at the sub-national and community levels.
Drawing from extensive regional and country-level experience, the discussion reflects on key achievements and persistent challenges in SDG localisation, while highlighting the urgency and strategic opportunities that will shape the next phase of implementation from 2026 to 2030.
The session features insights from Dr Selva Ramachandran, Former Resident Representative of UNDP Philippines, and is moderated by Prof Datuk Dr Denison Jayasooria, Head of Secretariat, APPGM-SDG.
Organised by APPGM-SDG, this dialogue aims to contribute to ongoing policy conversations on strengthening multi-stakeholder collaboration, institutional readiness, and evidence-based approaches to localising the Sustainable Development Goals.
