Many factors determine how long ethanol fireplaces burn, including the type of bioethanol fuel, the capacity of the ethanol burner, and how the ethanol burner is designed and shaped by the external environment. The clean combustion of ethanol is alcohol-based, so that real flames are created without producing smoke, odor or dangerous chemicals, and the combustion of ethanol in a fireplace does not require special vents or chimneys.

Bioethanol fireplaces do not require electricity or a hard gas line, as they use ethanol as fuel, for a clean burning, ash-free, odor free fire.
