Double Steam, Drama and Diesels to the rescue; Tangmere and Blue Peter on railtour duties. Both trains were meant to travel up the West Coast Mainline to Carlisle and then around the Cumbrian Coast back to Carnforth. I planned to film them both passing again at Arnside. Unfortunately, Battle of Britain class 34067 Tangmere started a lineside fire, while working the Northern Belle Dining Train, due to the dry conditions. This meant it was heavily delayed. But also, it prevented LNER Peppercorn A2 Class 60532 Blue Peter from following as the line was closed. Subsequently, Blue Peter reversed course to Carlisle and headed home down the West Coast Mainline from there with just its support coach. Class 40 Diesel Locomotive D213 / 40013 Andania then took the passengers back South. Tangmere can be seen crossing Arnside viaduct very slowly and with the Class 57 diesel locomotive on the rear pushing to avoid the steam engine's exhaust from starting any more lineside fires.
