“Mellow Dreams” is a solo piano album performed by Michael Solomon. It's entitled 'Mellow Dreams' because yes I’m including two takes of one of my favorite pieces. It's also because a lot of these pieces represent that vibe generally. "Sentimental" and "Bliss" are both original compositions of mine.
Although I stream my music frequently, I’m releasing this album because 1) they represent curated performances with a more official polish 2) the audio quality is better and 2) people can now stream it from whatever platform they desire! It’s not perfect, but I want to have a record of where my skills are currently. Too often musicians and artists in general hinder themselves by not releasing their art to the world because of endless quest for perfection. But Harry Mack, a current freestyle rapper said in one of his songs: “What’s the purpose of art? Is it all for applause? Is it supposed to be perfect or is it better with flaws?”
