So, true love died in 2020.

I have had cases of second lead syndrome before, but I have no recollection of it being because the other guy and his relationship with the girl was clearly so much better than the one we were supposed to be rooting for...

The story between these two clearly got out of hand and became much more than the writers could handle. In the end, Dalmi had to become completely thoughtless in order to choose Dosan (she couldn't even point out a reason for liking him? she who wrote a hundred love letters to Jipyeong?) because if they had her ponder for more than 20 seconds over this decision, the outcome would've been way different. Also, Jipyeong had to be the one to validate Dosan's relationship with Dalmi, which was so infuriating to me for so many reasons that I deliberately chose not to include many scenes from the last episode in this video. Even if I abide by the dreadful Dodal endgame scenario, I still choose to think Jipyeong left and never looked back, cause he deserves so much better than living around the breathing reminders of everything he was robbed off.

I could write essays about what a complete clusterfuck this k-drama became after episode 9 but I'd rather not get any angrier, so I'll just settle with two affirmations: Jidal the best couple we never had and Jipyeong, you have become my biggest heartbreak yet.

This video is all over the place just like my feelings are right now, and even though I am not particularly proud of it, it's my send off to this ship that I became so attached to. I am grateful to everyone who's been supporting my jidal edits lately, it really means the world. Sadly, I don't think I will be editing them again, at least not for a while. I need some time to swallow my bitterness and look at them with the appreciation I used to have during the first half of the drama.

Thank god that this is over, finally I'll be able to move on to my other projects and shows cause this hyperfixation has been making me postpone so many things and in the end it wasn't even worth it lmao I am never watching anything by PHR ever again.
