If you powsurf in the mountains you will eventually experience dings, dents or de-laminations that can happen from the normal and abnormal wear and tear that happens when powsurfing. This is why we build nearly all our powsurfers with proper sintered p-tex bases. This makes your powsurf ride faster, absorb wax properly, and it will massively increase durability and the life of your powdersurfer.
Grassroots Powsurfers are extremely durable and easily fixable if you encounter any damage from rocks or stumps in the snowpack. Sintered p-tex bases no only provide the best speed but they make your powsurfer incredibly durable and easily repairable when damaged. Not only are our powsurfers handcrafted from sustainable materials and bio resins but one thing that many over looks is that durability is the ultimate form of sustainability!
If you own a wood base powsurfer this video will not help you much.. trying to fix a wood base will not get you far.. your only option is reduction.. or sanding off the gouges.. the wax applied to a wood base will make any epoxy repair or filling gouges impossible.
