Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at this six leaf double-eye spring for 4,500-pound trailer axles. This double-eye leaf spring acts as part of your trailer suspension system by providing an attachment point for a 4,500-pound axle. It's made from a sturdy steel construction and it is designed to flex to absorb road shock and provide a smooth ride reducing wear and tear on your trailer. And it's going to ensure a level ride on bumpy and uneven surfaces.

Double-eye leaf springs attached to hangers that are welded onto your trailer. One end of the spring will attach directly to the hanger with the suspension bolt. And the other end will attach to shackle straps that are suspended from a hanger. These straps allow the spring to move and pivot so that it can better compensate for uneven pavement. If you have a tandem or triple axle trailer, the shackle straps will be attached to equalizers that will connect to multiple springs.

If you are in need of hangers, suspension bolts, or equalizers, you can find them here at etrailer.com. In the eyes, if you will notice on each end, our pre-installed nylon bushings. The eye diameter with the bushings is 9/16 of an inch. And without the bushings installed, it is 11/16 of an inch. Again, as you can see, this is a six leaf spring with a leaf thickness of 3/8 of an inch.

It has a spring capacity of 2,250 pounds. And again, it is designed for a 4,500-pound trailer axle. Now pulling out my tape measure here, let me give you the measurement here of the length and I'm gonna be measuring center of spring, I'm sorry, center of eye to center of eye. We are sitting right at 26 inches long and this is one and three quarters inches wide. And I do wanna mention that additional dimensions with a diagram are available on this product page if you are looking for measurements that I did not cover with you today.

One final note. To ensure proper axle alignment and suspension performance, leaf spraying should always be replaced in pairs and we do recommend installation by a professional.
