Continuing with the theme of 'Englishness' from their SS14 film - and continuing to work with film maker Amy Gwatkin - this season Leutton Postle have taken Blackpool as their backdrop.
Sponsorship from Blackpool Pleasure Beach meant access to the park out-of-season, an amazing location that was an inspirational starting point for the film along with the photography of Tom Wood.
Drawing on that particular type of glamour that is the preserve of the English seaside resort, the film showcases the daily lives of two girls living in the town. The kitsch, over-the-top nature of the environment sits in contrast to the normality of their existence as we follow their day, witnessing their explorations and earwigging on their everyday mumblings and dating chit-chat.
As a medium, film allowed for a dynamic and engaging presentation, inviting the viewer to become absorbed in the world of Leutton Postle for AW14 and on 15th February Leutton Postle debuted the film at HIX, Soho as part of the British Fashion Council's Digital Schedule.
