Описание: Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has hit out at the treasury benches after he was suspended from the Lok Sabha. Chowdhury was suspended for allegedly attacking the Prime Minister. The senior Congress leader said that if some of his remarks were found to be objectionable, those could have been easily expunged by the Speaker. He said that the government is trying to throttle the voice of the Opposition by getting MPs suspended. The Congress leader said, "This is a new phenomenon we have never before experienced in our career in Parliament...This is a deliberate design by the ruling party to throttle the voice of the opposition...This will undermine the spirit of parliamentary democracy...".
