Famous for being infamously lousy, the Akai Rhythm Wolf really isn't all that bad (parts are though).
If Akai hadn't seemingly cut a few too many corners in development, this could have been a great machine, now, at least, it is interesting and can be picked up for around 100€ (in 2019 that is, who knows if this will become the next holy grail of electronic music!? )
It's a great first machine to get into using real hardware and some of it's downsides can actually be overcome if you are willing to rip the machine open:
