केरल में स्थित गुरुवायूर श्रीकृष्ण मंदिर भारत के सबसे रहस्यमयी मंदिरों में से एक माना जाता है।
मान्यता है कि यहाँ भगवान श्रीकृष्ण केवल पूजे नहीं जाते, बल्कि आज भी साक्षात विराजमान हैं।
यहाँ की मूर्ति कोई साधारण विग्रह नहीं है।
कहा जाता है कि इस दिव्य मूर्ति को भगवान विष्णु ने स्वयं बनाया था, और
इसी मूर्ति की पूजा वसुदेव, देवकी तथा स्वयं भगवान कृष्ण ने की थी।
सबसे बड़ा रहस्य यह है कि इस एक ही विग्रह में
राम, परशुराम, वामन और कृष्ण — चार अवतारों की शक्ति समाहित मानी जाती है।
महाभारत के बाद, जब द्वारका नगरी समुद्र में डूबने लगी,
तब देवगुरु बृहस्पति और वायु देव इस दिव्य विग्रह को
केरल के गुरुवायूर क्षेत्र में लेकर आए।
इसी कारण इस पवित्र स्थान का नाम पड़ा — गुरु + वायु = गुरुवायूर।

Guruvayur Shri Krishna Temple, located in Kerala, is considered one of the most mysterious temples in India.
It is believed that Lord Krishna is not only worshipped here, but still exists in divine presence.
The idol in this temple is not an ordinary one.
According to beliefs, this sacred idol was created by Lord Vishnu himself.
The same idol was worshipped by Vasudeva, Devaki, and Lord Krishna.
The idol is believed to contain the divine powers of
four incarnations — Rama, Parashurama, Vamana, and Krishna.
After the Mahabharata, when the ancient city of Dwarka began to submerge into the sea,
Guru Brihaspati and Vayu Dev brought this divine idol to the present-day Guruvayur region of Kerala.
That is how the temple got its name — Guru + Vayu = Guruvayur.
