Built on four steel columns, the Delta Shelter is a vertical structure that rises above a 100-year-old floodplain. The steel material used makes the building nearly impervious to extreme weather. The cabin is designed with three levels: the ground floor serves as a carport and storage space, the middle floor houses bedrooms and bathrooms, and the top floor is an outdoor space for relaxing, eating, and cooking.

One of the most interesting features of the Delta Shelter is its steel shutter system that can be opened and closed using a handwheel, allowing the homeowner to easily control access to light and privacy. The cabin is also eco-friendly, using prefabrication to reduce construction waste and minimize impact on the surrounding environment. There is no air conditioning in this project, as all the windows can be opened for natural air circulation.
