Clinton 'Strandloper' Trimm is a Khoisan activist, who, each year walks from Gqeberha to Cape Town to raise awareness of the First Nation's people of South Africa.
On his walk he is self reliant for food, water and shelter, foraging from the shoreline as his Strandloper ancestors did for the past 165,000 years along the Southern Cape coastline.
In a discussion, he related how the Strandlopers produced salt, describing lines in rock and aeolonite anling the shoreline that he's uses to this day on his walks and everyday life.
