🇬🇷 MUST VISIT Diros Caves, Mani Peninsula, Greece

Описание: The spectacular Diros Caves are located in the Mani Peninsula, Greece about 10km from Aeropoli.

14km of the caves have been explored, but they are believed to potentially run for 100's Km under the Peloponnese.

Largely waterlogged, they are open to the public who are able to explore about 1.5km of the caves from small, guided boats.

If you visit the Mani Peninsula, the Diros caves are a must see for any tourist. located about 4 hours from Athens, and 90 minutes from Kalamata, they are more than a day trip, but easily accessible should you have a car and be driving around the Peloponnese. Tour busses also run to the caves.

It is advisable to visit early, as the caves, or at least the entrance gets busy and you will queue for a boat at popular times.

The total tour lasts about 30 minutes, and offers a unique experience, though it is not one for the claustrophobic!
