In the private sector, he helped build Tellme Networks, D-Wave Systems, and Uber, where he raised over $20 billion, launched UberMilitary, and advanced self-driving technology. His investments span AI, quantum computing, fintech, and logistics, reflecting his ability to anticipate and scale emerging technologies.
