RECIPE FOR MAID-RITES
Maid Rite Sandwiches—-Episode 38 --

2 cans regular (NOT DIET!) Coke, Pepsi, Cola (you can substitute 1-1/2 cups of water for one can of Coke!)
3 pounds Ground Chuck or Ground Round
80/20 or higher
2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
1 Chicken Boullion Cube
1 Beef Boullion Cube
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
1/2 cup minced fresh onion
1/4 cup dry onion flakes
Pour Coca Cola into saucepan.
Add raw ground beef to cola.
Add remaining ingredients.
Simmer over medium heat stirring often to make sure bottom doesn’t scorch … watch closely as the liquid will completely dry up.
Lower heat as liquid begins to disappear and brown meat slowly stirring constantly.
You can freeze at this point if desired.
You can place in crockpot to stay warm.
Serve with steamed buns, mustard, onion and dill pickles … Ketchup is not normally used but my husband does use it.
Our son in law uses it on nachos too as leftovers!
