Описание: Cath shares her deeply personal journey and experiences as a child of a transgender parent and the support needed by the families during this time of transition. In 1987, Cath's father came out as transgender. In those days, asking for help wasn’t the norm, and gender issues like this were swept under the carpet. Throughout the years of emotional, conflicting and tormenting thought processes, Cath wondered if life was ever going to feel normal again. Cath now works with the children of transgender parents to help them overcome communication barriers so they begin to live an authentic life This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
