Born into seventh generation Circus families of Nock (Swiss) and Wallenda (Italian). His debut was at age 3. His flashy clown clothes and one foot high red hair, later, became his personal signature.

Bello’s main work associations have been with Disney on Parade Nerveless Nocks, Mexico’s Circus Atayde, New York Big Apple Circus, Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus (who called Bello a once-in-a-lifetime performer), Circus Sarasota, New Victory Theater in New York City, Rainbow Circus/Universal Studios of Japan, and Funambula.

Many of the shows Bello performed in were namesakes, some of which he was creative director. (Bello and friends, Bello Comes Home, Bello is Back, and Bello Mania).

Bello began performing with his family’s trade-mark act, 80 foot sway pole, at age 15. Additionally he does motorcycle on high wire, one-of-a-kind double wheel of steel (New York Times did a
double page spread on this Bello creation), stunt motorcycle globe, comedy high wire, bungee trampolines, diving board trampoline, leap over elephants, quick change magic, and helicopter trapeze (done next to the Statue of Liberty).

He is noted for doing wire walks (skywalks) over a cruise ship (Guinness book record), Reliant Stadium and American Airlines Arena, Lincoln Center., Times Square, and Rose Bowl Stadium (world record on wire eight hours). Bello designs and builds all of his own equipment and riggings.

Additional awards/ recognition: Time magazine called him America’s best clown. He is the youngest person ever to be inducted into the “Ring of Fame”. Five awards at the Monte Carlo International Circus Festival (including “Golden Clown”) also, the Walt Disney Award for creative entertainment). Drama desk award and IAAPA “Best Show” Brass Ring Award.
