Here is Fats the Pig showing great pig technique on staying cool in the summertime! 💦🐷 Since pigs do not sweat, they need to use mud to stay cool during the hot days of summer. The mud cools them off and also serves as a sunscreen to protect them when not in the shade. ☀️🐽
All of our rescued pigs here have shaded pens and either mud pits or wading pools / tanks to ensure they can stay comfortable during the dog days of summer. 😎
