Why was the blind man born blind? Was it because of his sins or the sins of his parents/ancestors? It was a debated question during the time of Jesus. It still is. There were two schools of thought during the time of Jesus. They debated: When does the evil really affect the human nature? One school said during conception and the other said after delivery. They also discusses about good souls and bad souls entering the body.
Ex. 20:5, 34:7, Numb 14:18 speaks about God punishing the 3rd and the 4th generation.
Why did Jesus use spittle/saliva to heal?
Was the miracle instant or gradual?
Who was really blind-the man born blind or the pharisees with all their knowledge?
