The rapidly expanding COVID-19 pandemic poses an unprecedented challenge in modern history. In addition to widespread loss of life, COVID-19 is overwhelming health care systems, eroding livelihoods, and devastating economies. These impacts disproportionately affect the lives of those living in situations of poverty, inequality, and exploitation.

BRAC is built on an ethos of standing with the most vulnerable, particularly in times of crisis. It is committed to supporting local communities and helping them respond to the outbreak, initially with humanitarian interventions, but transitioning quickly to socio-economic rehabilitation and development programs in the coming weeks, months, and beyond.
