Gunhī Punhī and Sirisayā Heku Tune
The melody of Sirisayā Heku song is somhow similar with Gunhī Punhī tune. Gunhī Punhī is very old Newari tune that played mostly in Newar Bãsuri (flute). The song writer, lyrics and composer are anonymous of Gunhī Punhī.

This Gunhī Punhī song is more than 200 years old tune popularly played in Newari Bãsuri (flute) during Gunhī Punhī festival in Newar community in the month of Bhadra in Nepali calendar. Gunhī Punhī is a festival and also a tune.

The Newars from Bhaktapur (the smallest city of Nepal) celebrate this Gunhī Punhī and the Sapāru (Gaijatra) for seven days. During this festival many sacred dances and other dance dramas are presented in the public stages in the nights. Many popular songs are also sung during these seven days.
Dilmaya song is a descriptive exploration of feelings of someone's love towards the beloved one who is more than anything. Primarily, Dilmaya is written dedicating to the singer’s mother Dilmaya. This song inclusively tries to explore the love of mother towards her children that cannot be describe in words. In the writer’s view mothers love is always “red and green”, that means cannot be explained. This is a metaphoric song that can be interpret differently from different minds.
The tune is traditional, original Newari tune and the lyrics are designed by the writer.
This song includes various music (tunes) that played, rendered only during Gunhī Punhī.

Pvaṅgā Bājā
Pvaṅgā Bājā is a long end blown natural trumpet. It is made of copper.
Pvaṅgā Bājā that is played in the beginning of this song is an invocation offered to Lord Buddha. The Newar oil pressures, Sayami (Manandhar) celebrate a Gũlā parva, a Buddhist month long musical ritual. Gunhī Punhī falls during this Gũlā Parva, when Manandhar musicians circumambulate the Buddhist Monasteries and chaityas inside and outside the Kathandu Valley. They play this musical piece in Pvaṅgā Bājā many times to connect with the deity and receive blessing and spiritual merits.

Silu is amongst the most popular Nepali Newari tune. It is sung and played during Gunhi Punhi, while circumambulating the sacred lake Gosainkunda situated in Rasuwa district. Every Nepali knows this tune and also popular in international stages too.

This song is most popularly known (Ghentangisi) dance song among the Newars in Bhaktapur sung and performed during Gunhī Punhī.

ग्वाखँ प्वाले ते ।
ग्वाखँ प्वाले मन्ह्यङ्सा
खुसीं च्वीक छ्वे ।

Meaning:
“What shall we do with the tāsā (tall cow) during Sapāru (Gaijatra)? Let’s put it in the gvākhã (a niche in the wall of a room, for keeping small objects). If it’s too long for the gvākhã, let’s throw it in the river.”

Fākãdali:
Fākãdali, exclusively is a traditional Newar dance song with its unique melody that vibrates in the ears of every Newars and echoes in the city Bhaktapur during seven days of Sapāru, starts after Gunhī Punhī. Every tols performed this dance song with different lyrics. The lyrics are changed to each group and are mostly political, satirical, comedy and irony.
