She already had plenty to worry about in her big dress as she walked into the huge church while millions and millions of eyes watched her.It's likely that she chose a smaller tiara so that she wouldn't have to worry about balancing it on her head while walking down the aisle. Another reason is that perhaps her advisors simply liked the look of the tiara and felt it fit their vision for the wedding day.
