First attempt on a BMW F850 GS on road #D17 from Gilette to Roquesteron (France, Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur 06). No speak apart from 1 min. intro in Danish. Sorry for the Danish bla, bla in which I just say that some interesting roads are waiting me but you shouldn't expect fast driving. To my defense I just turned sixty and haven't owned a bike for 15 years. Some rust neededs to be knocked off. I have some respect for oncoming traffic and the wet and slippery parts of the road hidden from the sun by hard rocks.
This is the first video from a two day ride over 500 km in the hinterland of Cannes and Nice going up to Grand Canyon du Verdon, Digne-Les-Bains and Barcelonnette.
Fast forward to 1:00 will bring you to the driving action. Engine sound is pretty miserable - partly due to mediocre go pro microphone and the camera mounting on left handlebar but also due to the twin cylinder BMW engine which has a rather dull sound with the standard exhaust on the rental bike.
