One of the highlights of Reunion & Homecoming Weekend, October 9-12, 2014, was a live video conversation with NASA Astronaut Reid Wiseman ’97 from aboard the International Space Station. The conversation with Reid took place Oct. 10 in the Concert Hall of the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center.
The event, moderated by Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations Jeffrey Schanz, featured remarks by President Shirley Ann Jackson on the extraordinary impact Rensselaer has had on the space program throughout history. Cynthia Collins, a professor of chemical and biological engineering, also spoke about her recent NASA-funded research.
