Healthy Grocery Haul. This is the system I use to keep grocery shopping simple, quick, and realistic for our week.
1. Proteins I Rely OnChicken, turkey, tuna, jerky (@chomps are the kids’ fav)— these make quick meals easy and keep us full. I reach for them on nights when I don’t have time to cook from scratch.
2. Kid-Friendly Grab & Go@drinkorgain kids shakes, applesauce, @trufru . These are the snacks my kids naturally reach for. They keep their energy steady and save me from last-minute snack scrambling.
3. Dairy StaplesThese usually stay the same: Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, string cheese, milk.
4. Fruits & VeggiesFresh produce helps balance meals, adds nutrients, and gives everyone energy throughout the day. I like having a mix of snack-ready and dinner-friendly options.
5. Pantry & Meal-Building StaplesButter, flour, eggs coffee. These are the backbone of simple meals, snacks, and baked treats that make busy weeks easier.
Having these five groups on hand saves me time, reduces stress, and keeps our routine running smoothly.
