You could say it’s where old cars and trucks go to die. It’s a scrap metal junkyard in central China where thousands of retired vehicles are waiting to be crushed. But first, they’ll be sent to a fine-tuning dismantling line, where parts like engines, gearboxes, front and rear axles and seats will be picked out.
