Kathiawar Peninsula gets its name from the Kathi caste of the Rajput ruling class. It is a peninsula of Gujarat located in western India. However, the Union Territory of Diu is also located at its southern end.
Kathiawar Peninsula is bounded by the Rann of Kutch to the north, the Arabian Sea to the south and west and the Gulf of Cambay to the south-east.
