Описание: Our councillors in Arun District Council have been working hard to establish a “Rights for the River” policy for the river Arun. Steve McAuliffe, one of the councillors and a professional ecologist and management consultant, discusses the concept of Rights for the River, and the difficulties in trying to get this adopted in Arun. We were lucky to be joined by Emily O’Brien who is Cabinet Member for Climate, Nature & Food Systems at Lewes District Council. Part of the Lewes strategies for nature include an ambitious plan for river restoration and flood management and a ground-breaking Right for the River Charter.
