Here's what we've been working on this past month on the layout:
Tree making ongoing, another 50 or so planted at the east end of Banff yard. Total layout tree count = 410
Custom rail track themed coat rack built by my very talented uncle. Rail bed is aspen with walnut ties and aluminum channel inlayed for the track detail.
3D printed concrete "Lego Block" barriers all the way from the UK. Special thanks to Ian Roberts and his son. To follow along with their 3D printing endeavours and his HO scale north American themed layout, check out his channel:

Kitbasing two sets of NJ International Crossings to make the prototypical crossing lights and gate arms at Mount Norquay road. A very time consuming task reworking these 1 piece cast brass signals into something that closer resembles my Canadian prototype. Additional parts were robbed from some of my Showcase Miniatures searchlight signal kits such as the pole for the larger light, the base, 2 Track plaques and cap for the pedestal light. Both signals were re-wired with #36 magnet wire. On the larger light, I drilled holes and ran it down the hollow 1/16" brass tube. The pedestal light I just had to tuck them against the pole since the NJ ones are solid brass. Currently working finishing the gate arms which has including filing them completely down and installing 3x tri-colour SMDs on both.
Side note: Based on today's news, maybe I need to start buying some KCS power?
Thank you for watching!
