The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a restorationist form of Christianity which believes the prophetic tradition is still active. Not just in the gift of prophecy, but an ongoing, institutional prophetic office with binding authority; the same authority as the ancient ones to receive public revelation, speak for God, and write new scripture.
I will argue from a Latter-Day Saint Christian perspective, using only the Bible, that Jesus is not the last prophet, that he explicitly taught there would be more after him, who some of those prophets were, and that there is no evidence in scripture God intended the prophetic tradition to cease.
