"As Time Goes By" was written in 1931 by the American songwriter Herman Hupfeld.

It became famous when Dooley Wilson performed it in the 1942 film "Casablanca", which won three Academy Awards and is considered one of the best movies of all time!

The song has been recorded by countless artists (including Louis Armstrong and Frank Sinatra).
