Bob Shade of Hallmark Guitars sent me this very special FUZZrite made by the ORIGINAL DESIGNER of the Fuzzrite Ed Sanner, It features germanium transistors and new old stock mosrite knobs, not to mention the vintage style folded steel construction and quirky battery on/off switch. At $375 and a limited run of 30 pedals this is OBVIOUSLY not a fuzzrite for the masses, But the true FUZZrite enthusiasts and collectors will be giving their piggy banks the side eye.

Here is the full description from Bob Shade:
1. The Mosrite Fuzzrite was designed in 1965 by Ed Sanner at Mosrite guitars in Bakersfield California. Mosrite was the very second commercially available Fuzz Tone only to the Gibson Maestro who came first.

2. The very first run of Fuzzrite's were made with a "germanium transistor" circuit. Some say the germanium transistors are creamier sounding and not as harsh as the later silicon version.

3. The Fuzzrite was a huge seller in the 60's after Iron Buytterfly used one along with their other Mosrite gear on their smash hit record "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" ( see the lp cover ) Players took notice and had to have one. Other noted artists were Jimi Hendrix on his "Bold As Love" lp. to country artists like Buck Owens. You have heard this pedal........even the Green Acres TV show theme song features a Fuzzrite on the recording.

4. This is a tribute to the Fuzzrite designed by Ed Sanner. This one features vintage "germanium transistors" and Ed decided to add a third transistor to this pedal for more impoved sustain and feedback that you can control. The results are insane. You can get Hendrix tones and infinate sustain as well as soundscapes you can melt into with the addition of the third transistor. Or back it off for the classic Fuzzrite Fuzz tone. These Fuzzrite's are each hand built one at time by Ed Sanner the designer. Every solder joint in every pedal was by Ed Sanner himself. You will feel good knowing it was hand made by the designer.

5. The knobs are NOS knobs Mosrite used in the 70's on the Fuzzrite pedals and some Mosrite guitars as well. They are very easy to grip, read, and set where you like it. Ed still had some in stock after all these years so it wasa pleasure to use them.

6. Only 30 of these have been produced. A very small run. The cost is $375.00 with free shipping anywhere in the USA.
