In this video we're going to test out the new and improved LAVA II 2S 680mAh Li-HV batteries made by BetaFPV. We'll see how they perform with the PavoPico II and how much actual flight time do you get from them, so make sure to watch the video til the end to see if their worth it or not. Let's go ahead and get right into it!

Key Differences Between LiPo and LiHV Batteries👇🏼
Voltage Levels:
• LiPo: Nominal
3.7V per cell, Max Charge 4.2V per cell.
• LiHV: Nominal 3.8V per cell, Max Charge
4.35V to 4.45V per cell.
Performance: LiHV offers higher energy density (more power/run time in the same size/weight).
Discharge Profile: LiHV provides higher initial voltage but may experience a more abrupt drop in voltage towards the end, whereas LiPo offers a more consistent, gradual discharge curve.
Charging: LiHV requires a charger that supports LiHV mode (4.35V or
4.4V per cell) to take advantage of the extra capacity. Charging a LiHV to
4.2V only (like a normal LiPo) results in lower performance than possible, but is safe. However, charging a regular LiPo to
4.35V is unsafe.
Longevity & Use Case: LiHV is ideal for racing drones, micro-drones, or high-performance applications. They may degrade faster (shorter cycle life) if kept fully charged at their maximum voltage for long periods compared to standard LiPo.
Verse of the day:
“Hear my prayer, Lord,
listen to my cry for help;
do not be deaf to my weeping.
I dwell with you as a foreigner,
a stranger, as all my ancestors were.”
Psalm 39: 12
