GAME PRESERVATION MATTERS (SunnyRedemption Sailing #14)

Описание: I titled this livestream Game Preservation Matters because it's talking about news and history related to game preservation- bad news like Forza Horizon 4 getting delisted and good like GOG getting the completely un-remastered original versions of Resident Evil- AND because it's my statement that Game Preservation Matters. Period, end of story.

As companies increasingly collude to make old games hard to find I will fight hard to get awareness of this issue out there, having myself had to grab an old iPad mini to reinstall old iOS games forever, backed up more than two dozen of my favorite PSP games to a hard drive, and gotten Jurassic Park Operation Genesis working on multiple modern Windows devices. I also am excited each time I stream SunnyRedemption Sailing or another livestream like This Game is Fine with Kevin to preserve our gameplay, and some record of our adventures in Sea of Thieves before its servers too, inevitably shut down.

Which is why it's ironic that TikTok Live Studio is so clunky about being able to retrieve archived livestreams for use later. With YouTube and Twitch which I HAVE gotten working even momentarily, the video is just archived immediately as a VOD but having to download it first and then upload it is kind of annoying when I'm NOT juggling my iPhone, iPad mini and multiple browser tabs on my Mac mini, so from now on the TikTokers will see a screen recording of my existing YouTUbe/Twitch livestream, as I do still find TikTok useful for generating highlights based on particular moments of high engagement.

I also need to address something concerning that happened towards the end. SOCIAL MEDIA SHOULD NOT BE THIS FREELY USED BY TEENAGERS. I probably should've clarified how old the 13-year-old was before adding his gamertag. However, for the record I DID NOT know that a 13 year old was wanting to play with me until he stated as much on live video, and this stream is NOT for kids.

But to clarify from now on, because it's so visible in all my livestreams, unless you are an Xbox friend I already know you have to pay me to access my gamertag via a Discord server I've set up and play multiplayer with me on Steam or Xbox, and I will also restrict my LIVE to those 18 or older. I already have a TikTok Live subscription set up for someone who proved they were over 18, and am considering setting up a YouTube channel membership if my audience gets big enough, though I'm not quitting my job for that LMAO. This will include perks like unlisted versions of videos I've been working on, the ability to suggest topics, channel member promoted comments on YouTube.

Lastly, I will be leaving for Philadelphia tomorrow, so this will likely be my last major YouTube upload until at least Monday when I live stream Saints Row 2 in a standalone new show called Goofballs Row where I'll catch up with Kevin about the trip, about the Resident Evil IX announcement, and laugh my ass off playing all the Saints Rows in coop. Sunny Redemption Sailing will return sometime during the week of July 21st, most likely before Season 13 of Sea of Thieves premieres right here on History Flights Productions
