In this video, we teardown a NEC thin client PC that I found at Akihabara for 1000 yen.
The model is a NEC US300c (N8120-019), which is powered by a VIA Eden 1 GHz, 2 GB of flash storage, and 1 GB of DDR2 memory. It was manufactured in 2013, and appears to be an NEC branded version of a Wyse C90LEW, judging from the specs.
My guess is that it ended up in the second-hand market since it turned 5 years old, around the time when warranties run out.
