Second Looks - "Worth a Play?" - Manor Lords vs Stardeus

Описание: Welcome to the "Worth a Play?" Tournament, where we pit games against each other to see which game(s) become the champions and are definitely "Worth a Play!" The format is double-elimination. Once a game has been deemed twice that they are not really worth a play vs another game, then they are OUT and cannot be the "Worth a Play" champion for their category.

The games in this tournament are the games that the survived the "never-been-played" run over the last several months. There were initially 165 games and 74 made the cut. Of these 74, 15 are already "Worth a Play", 6 are "cozy" casual games that we will play for some quick fun, and 12 are NOT worth a play at this time (don't fit my current games play-style). The other 42 have landed in the "Second Looks" category, and I thought it would be fun to match them against each other in a double-elimination tournament. So.. the "Worth a Play?" Tournament is born!

These games are grouped into three categories each with it's own double-elimination bracket.

The categories are:
Story Rich (13 games) - Games with emphasis on rich story lines or a strong story background.
Turn-Based Tactics (14 games) - Generally squad-based tactical games, turn-based and some with real-time with pause.
Building (16 games) - Games that have base building or ship building or defensive building as an emphasis.

Note that these reflect my personal preferences in gaming and some games you like my not be represented. This is just a fun way to figure out which games we'd like to add in with the group of 15 already deemed "Worth a Play". The champions of each winner's bracket along with the champion of the loser's bracket for each of the 3 categories will qualify for the "Worth a Play" list. We may also include the "runner's up" to end up with 6-12 games deemed worth a play. This list will drive a large portion of what we stream for the next year or so (or until we run out of games to play).

If you see a game you like and it survives several rounds, we will enjoy several hours of gameplay for that game before the champion of the category is crowned.
