Dead Horse Bay: Live Mudlarking & Metal Detecting

Описание: The most hauntingly beautiful place in New York City is called Dead Horse Bay. It is located by New York’s first major airport Floyd Bennett Field. The area gets its name from the glue factories that used to be located there. This was in the 1800s but remains wash up to shore presently as well. It is famous four a beach called Glass Bottle Beach. New York City used to dump it’s garbage in capsules in Dead Horse Bay. Starting in the 1950s these capsules eroded and opened. Ancient city garbage washes up on shore with dead Horse bones. This afternoon, I shot a live video there. This is New York City's official mudlarking site:
