The SmartDesk 2 Premiums goes for $449 while it's on sale. Autonomous offers a cheaper one called the SmartDesk 2 Home Office that retails for $349. It is among one of the cheaper smart desks on the market. The Premium has a height range from 26” to 52” compared to the home office that goes from 29.5” to 48”. The SmartDesk 2 Premium does offer 2 extra years of warranty compared to the 5 years you get with the Home one. I would still recommend going for the Home one and saving $70 unless you really need that extra height difference.

Having an electric standing desk is very nice and it is well worth the investment. It beats having to crank up the desk every time you want to raise it or lower it. The smart desk 2 raises and lowers with a noise level of 45decibels so it isn't too loud. It has a lifting speed of 2.4" per second. With about 60lbs on top of the desk it took roughly 6.5 seconds to go from 29.5" to 39.4."

I am 5'6 and my preferred desk heigh while sitting is 29.5" and while standing the 39.4." The autonomous ergo chair 2 really helps keep a good posture and reduce fatigue while editing for a long time, but the standing desk is the icing on the cake. I can relieve more of that stress from countless hours of sitting down. With this pandemic going on now a standing desk is worthwhile.

Autonomous is one of the few companies that offer a budget electric standing desk so I recommend checking out the SmartDesk 2 home office one. This can very well be one of the best affordable standing desk. With the pandemic, this can add to your set up to work from home comfortably.
