Hongyachong, formerly known as Hongyachen, is one of the gates of ancient Chongqing. It is located in Cangbai Road, Jiefangbei, Yuzhong District, Chongqing. It is located in the riverside area where the Yangtze River and Jialing River intersect, and is a tourist area with the functions of sightseeing, leisure and vacation. It is rated as national AAAA tourist attraction for its Bayu traditional architecture and folk custom features. In 2006, it was constructed by chongqing Municipal People's Government with a total investment of 385 million yuan.
