Many fans expected the fight to end quickly, but Jake Paul surprised early by using constant lateral movement, sharp jabs, and defensive footwork to frustrate Joshua. Paul even found moments of success, making AJ miss and smothering him on the inside to slow the pace of the fight.

As the rounds wore on, however, Joshua’s size, strength, and patience began to break Paul down. Crushing uppercuts on the inside in Rounds 4 and 5 visibly wore on The Problem Child, who repeatedly clinched and dropped to the canvas looking for breathing room. Late in Round 5, Paul was knocked down for the first time as the referee appeared to grow tired of the constant stalling.

The end came in Round 6.

Joshua unleashed a right hand–left hook combination that sent a visibly exhausted Paul stumbling backward. AJ backed him to the ropes and detonated a monstrous right hand that flattened Paul in the corner. Paul failed to beat the count, sealing a sixth‑round knockout victory for Joshua.

The win reasserts Anthony Joshua’s dominance and silences doubts surrounding the matchup, while Jake Paul suffers the most punishing loss of his boxing career.
