The Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation Holiday Express has been operating on our line, the Oregon Pacific Railroad for the last 13 years and we are happy to be part of what has become a huge Portland tradition. The Holiday Express event is the major fundraiser for the Oregon Rail Heritage Center, which houses Portland's three historic and some of the world's largest operating steam locomotives.

The Oregon Pacific Railroad is a family owned and operated freight railroad that does offer diesel powered passenger excursion train rides much of the year, however, we are happy to host ORHF, its crew and volunteers as bring out their wonderful steam engines and steam heated historic railroad cars and utilize our railroad for this now traditional annual event each year...whereby the public can ride behind an iconic locally maintained steam locomotive.
