This series harkens back to some of my roots and origins in music. One of the first bands I was ever in
was an instrumental surf music band and that's where I fell in love with this genre. Now, typically, these
songs are defined by reverb drenched electric guitars, but this series will take a wholly different approach
to these songs by doing them with acoustic instruments only!

I’m all about surf music—it’s got that beach vibe that makes you wanna hang ten. But here’s the twist: I’m
taking this already far-out genre and stripping it down to acoustic! It’s like catching waves on a longboard
instead of a shortboard—totally different, but still a killer ride.

This video features a total classic in the realm of instrumental songs. It was fun to try and cover this, especially to emulate the sax sound. Be sure to watch to the very end for this extended, story-time style blooper. It’s one for the ages!
