Orangeglo Watermelon Review!

Описание: Many of you have been asking how the Orangeglo watermelon I showed last week tastes, so here’s a taste review of this heirloom variety that I grew from seeds from @bakercreekseeds.

With its breathtaking, fiery orange color, Orangeglo is definitely a head turner. But make no mistake about it, this is NOT one of those varieties to grow just for eye candy.

Orangeglo tastes just as good as it looks. It has a unique flavor that's reminiscent of the sweetness of a good orange. I also found it consistently sweeter than the majority of the other varieties I'm growing this season.

Rest assured that I’m drawing this conclusion with the support of a sufficient sampling size. Because not only is the Orangeglo a great tasting variety, it’s also super productive. The two Orangeglos I planted have so far yielded over 20 watermelons totaling 500 pounds. That's correct, there's no typos there!

To confirm my assessment, I shared some of the Orangeglos I harvested with a few local growing enthusiasts, including @joegardener, @burbandbloom, @northgeorgiaorganics, just to name a few. The Orangelo consistently garnered outstanding reviews not only for its looks and its flavor.

I’ve had multiple people tell me that the Orangeglo I gifted them was literally the best watermelon they’ve ever tasted and I can tell you these are not hyperboles. The Orangeglo is definitely a must-grow!
