Viraliyar helped to develop tamil dancing culture in sangam tamil period, Pandya, Pallava and Kalabhras period
After 14th centuary, their status has been changed in a very worse manner.
Beginning in 1930's, Devadasi metamorphosed into Isaivellala's-Andrew Wyatt(Decentring the Indian nation)
Isaivellalar are the descendants of Devadasi-K S Singh(India Communities)
